We’re the Isla Vista Community Relations Committee, or IVCRC for short. We give free money to people so they can do cool stuff with it and bring folks together. We’re the ones who got you that $10K Ferris wheel for Pardall Carnival a month ago.
And we’re looking for writers, artists, engineers, planners, organizers, outcasts, leaders, misfits, fixers, and dreamers to join us next year. This is not a full-time job, but it’ll be helpful if you treat it as at least a part-time responsibility.
If you’re on time to meetings, commit to more than just getting out of bed every morning, and recognize that the usual is not always useful, then we’d love to have you.
Here’s what we have for you:
- Arts & Culture Commissioner: promote IV culture and history, create graphics
- Events Coordinator: plan Pardall Carnival and other events
- Graphic Design Coordinator: create and print graphics
- Historian: take photos, write evaluations and recaps, organize documents
- Publicity Coordinators (2): advertise events on many platforms
- Treasurer: track finances, submit requisition forms
- Vice Chair: lead meetings, delegate tasks, record minutes
